At Baron Honda, we gladly accept customers' current vehicles as a trade in towards the purchase of a new vehicle. When trading in a vehicle, one of the most common questions we get is "How do you value a trade?" There are a number of different factors that are to be considered when it comes to determining how to value a trade.
Certain vehicles retain their value more than others and would therefore be more value when trading them in. Secondly, the year and mileage of the vehicle are taken into consideration. The older a vehicle and the more miles on the engine, the lower value of the trade. Thirdly, the overall condition of the car is also important. The better the condition and the less cosmetic damage to the vehicle, the higher the value.
Lastly, the number of accidents is also considered. If a vehicle has an accident on record, it can significantly reduce the value of the vehicle, as the integrity of the vehicle may come into question. When bringing a vehicle in to trade, Baron Honda will look at all of these factors and offer the owner a current value of their trade
